Annie Duke may not have won her first World Series of Poker Bracelet until two thousand and four but she remains one of the most feared poker players around the ring games at The Bellagio in Vegas. Annie’s long-overdue World Series of Poker win came with a win at the "forgotten game" of Omaha Hi-Lo.

While players from the "young crowd" of poker go crazy following a huge win at the tables, Annie goes home to be "mom" to her four kids. She was born in New Hampshire and grew up in a family of poker players. If you do not believe that, check out her sibling, Howard Lederer, in action, who taught her the best method to compete in poker.

However, Annie Duke is no small fry kind of girl and has captured her share of challenging games, which includes eliminating Howard along the way on several occasions.

Earning over $3 million in tournament action, Annie became a consultant to both UltimateBet and Hollywood actor Ben Affleck, who aspired to develop his abilities and become a force at the poker table.

You might see Annie at the Bellagio, you will catch her on television and you may even play against her in a web-based poker game, but do not count on a simple win. Unless you’re a up and coming master, you won’t defeat her. However, it is likely to be fun to say you played at the same table as "The Duke".
