Web poker has become world famous lately, with televised tournaments and celebrity poker game events. The games popularity, though, stretches back quite a bit further than its television scores. Over the years several types on the earliest poker game have been developed, including a handful of games that are not in fact poker anymore. Caribbean stud poker is 1 of these games. Regardless of the name, Caribbean stud poker is more closely affiliated with blackjack than traditional poker, in that the gamblers wager against the house rather than each other. The winning hands, are the traditional poker hands. There is little bluffing or different types of deception. In Caribbean stud poker, you are required to ante up before the croupier broadcasting "No more wagers." At that instance, both you and the bank and of course all of the different players are given five cards. Once you have looked at your hand and the dealer’s initial card, you have to in turn make a call wager or give up. The call wager’s value is akin to your original ante, which means that the stakes will have doubled. Abandoning means that your bet goes instantly to the house. After the wager comes the face off. If the casino does not have ace/king or better, your wager is given back, plus a figure equal to the ante. If the casino has a hand with ace/king or better, you win if your hand defeats the bank’s hand. The house pays out cash even with your wager and fixed expectations on your call wager. These expectations are:
- Equal for a pair or high card
- 2-1 for 2 pairs
- three to one for three of a kind
- 4-1 for a straight
- 5-1 for a flush
- 7-1 for a full house
- twenty to one for a four of a kind
- 50-1 for a straight flush
- 100-1 for a royal flush
