Double-hand Poker is a modern game with old ancestry. Built on the ancient Chinese tile game and the current American variation of poker, Pai Gow poker bands together the far east with the wild west in an excellent game for new gamblers.

Pai Gow is a poker game that puts the gambler vs. the casino, unlike most other poker games that gamblers compete against other players. By gambling against the dealer, beginning players don’t need to worry about other, more experienced players winning their money.

Another Pai Gow advantage is the generally leisurely game play, novices are able to take their time and plan while not having to make quick decisions.

It’s also simpler to bet on for a long time with only a small bit of money seeing as, to lose, both of your hands needs to be under each of the houses hands.

Pai Gow uses 53 cards; the customary 52-card standard deck and one joker. The player is given seven cards face up and the casino is given seven cards face down.

One 5 card hand and one 2 card hand have to be put together from the 7 cards dealt, the 5 card hand has to be stronger than the 2 card hand. To win, a player needs both of his hand totals to be higher than the houses.
