Web poker has become globally acclaimed as of late, with televised competitions and celebrity poker game shows. Its popularity, though, arcs back in fact a bit further than its TV scores. Over the years several types on the original poker game have been created, including a few games that are not really poker anymore. Caribbean stud poker is one of these games. Despite the name, Caribbean stud poker is most closely related to chemin de fer than long-standing poker, in that the gamblers wager against the casino rather than each other. The winning hands, are the long-standing poker hands. There is little bluffing or different kinds of boondoggle. In Caribbean stud poker, you are expected to ante up before the croupier saying "No further bets." At that moment, both you and the bank and of course all of the other gamblers receive 5 cards. Once you have observed your hand and the dealer’s first card, you need to in turn make a call bet or accede. The call bet’s amount is equal to your beginning wager, which means that the risks will have increased two fold. Giving Up means that your bet goes directly to the dealer. After the bet is the showdown. If the bank does not have ace/king or better, your bet is given back, including a figure equal to the ante. If the casino has a hand with ace/king or greater, you succeed if your hand defeats the casino’s hand. The house pays out chips even with your wager and fixed odds on your call bet. These expectations are:

  • Equal for a pair or high card
  • two to one for 2 pairs
  • 3-1 for 3 of a kind
  • four to one for a straight
  • five to one for a flush
  • 7-1 for a full house
  • twenty to one for a 4 of a kind
  • fifty to one for a straight flush
  • 100-1 for a royal flush
