Ah, the steam. If a poker gambler claims at no time to have looked down the shadow of an approaching tilt – they are either telling a lie or they haven’t been playing for a long time. Now let us say you are up one hundred dollars off of a $100 deposit, and you suffer a big blow in a No Limits game and your stack is down to one hundred and twenty dollars. You have squandered $80 in a round where you were assured to pick up $200two hundred dollars when you decided to go all-in on the flop and enjoyed a 10 – 1 edge. And that fiend! He sucked you out on the river? – Well hold it right there. This is a classic choice for a new bettor to start tilting. They just lost too much cash on one round that they really should have won and they’re aggravated
