Here is the theory in a nutshell – You come across a poker site that has an excellent freeroll, it charges you nothing to participate in and you can capture 100 dollars. You think "excellent!" and you head over to the poker room and sign up as a member so you can gamble on the freeroll. You compete in and get knocked out early and are annoyed on the grounds that you feel you should have faired much better, or you go close to winning and so you are looking for some additional excitement. So what happens? You bet some money at the poker room and gamble on a different poker game!
Always check out the free tournaments for payout stipulations, you’ll nearly always need to compete in a few hands for actual $$$$ before they permit you take the $$$$ out. Often this is on a one to one basis, so if you acquire 20 dollars at the freeroll poker tournament you’ll have to have bet for twenty dollars in bona fide money in order for you to be able to remove the cash.
