Internet poker has become globally famous as of late, with televised tournaments and celebrity poker game events. The games universal appeal, though, stretches back in reality a bit farther than its television ratings. Over the years many variations on the original poker game have been created, including a handful of games that are not in reality poker anymore. Caribbean stud poker is one of these particular games. Regardless of the name, Caribbean stud poker is most closely related to twenty-one than traditional poker, in that the gamblers wager against the casino rather than the other players. The succeeding hands, are the traditional poker hands. There is no concealment or other types of deceptiveness. In Caribbean stud poker, you are required to ante up before the croupier broadcasting "No more wagers." At that point, both you and the dealer and of course all of the different gamblers are given five cards. After you have observed your hand and the bank’s 1st card, you must either make a call wager or accede. The call wager’s value is on same level to your beginning wager, indicating that the risks will have increased two fold. Surrendering means that your bet goes instantaneously to the house. After the wager comes the showdown. If the casino does not have ace/king or better, your wager is returned, including an amount in accordance with the initial wager. If the casino does have ace/king or greater, you succeed if your hand defeats the bank’s hand. The bank pays cash equal to your wager and controlled expectations on your call wager. These expectations are:

  • Equal for a pair or high card
  • two to one for 2 pairs
  • 3-1 for three of a kind
  • 4-1 for a straight
  • 5-1 for a flush
  • 7-1 for a full house
  • 20-1 for a four of a kind
  • fifty to one for a straight flush
  • one hundred to one for a royal flush
