Internet poker has become globally famous recently, with televised events and celebrity poker game shows. Its universal appeal, though, stretches back in reality a bit farther than its TV scores. Over the years numerous types on the original poker game have been developed, including some games that are not really poker anymore. Caribbean stud poker is 1 of the above-mentioned games. Regardless of the name, Caribbean stud poker is more closely related to chemin de fer than old guard poker, in that the gamblers wager against the bank instead of each other. The succeeding hands, are the traditional poker hands. There is no concealment or other types of deceptiveness. In Caribbean stud poker, you are required to pay up prior to the dealer broadcasting "No further bets." At that point, both you and the house and of course every one of the other players attain five cards. Once you have looked at your hand and the bank’s first card, you need to either make a call wager or surrender. The call wager’s amount is akin to your original bet, indicating that the stakes will have doubled. Giving Up means that your wager goes directly to the bank. After the wager is the showdown. If the bank does not have ace/king or greater, your bet is returned, with an amount on par with the original wager. If the dealer does have ace/king or better, you win if your hand defeats the bank’s hand. The house pays out money equal to your bet and set expectations on your call bet. These expectations are:
- Equal for a pair or high card
- two to one for 2 pairs
- three to one for three of a kind
- 4-1 for a straight
- 5-1 for a flush
- 7-1 for a full house
- twenty to one for a four of a kind
- fifty to one for a straight flush
- one hundred to one for a royal flush
